Apollum is a brand-centred marketplace for high-end HiFi. Brands, (authorized) dealers, service partners and private users meet here with a shared conviction: exceptional products deserve a second-hand market that does them justice. This Code of Conduct describes how we act as the operator and what we expect from everyone who uses Apollum.
The Code of Conduct applies to apollum highend GmbH (“Apollum”) and to all users of the platform apollum.com: brands, commercial dealers, service providers and private individuals.
It supplements the Terms of service and the Privacy policy. In case of conflict, the Terms of service prevail.
Whoever uses Apollum accepts this Code. It belongs to the platform just as the products traded on it do.
Respect for the product. High-end components are built for a long life. We do not treat the second-hand market as a bargain bin but as part of a brand’s life cycle.
Respect for the brand. Brands decide who acts in their name as authorized. Apollum maps this network and visibly marks authorized dealers. This mark is a promise to buyers. It is not sold; it is granted by the brand alone.
Respect for people. Behind every account is a person. We address users the way we would like to be addressed ourselves: politely, clearly and to the point.
Initiation, not trade. Apollum brings sellers and interested buyers into contact. We are not a party to the purchases and do not act as a seller ourselves.
Clear communication. We write plainly and openly and do not work with artificial pressure.
Confidentiality. Messages between users are not public. They are reviewed only to protect against misuse, for example after a report, and in accordance with the Privacy policy.
Data minimisation. We collect what operating the platform requires.
Reachability. For questions, hints and complaints we can be reached at legal@apollum.com and via Support in the user account.
Truth in the listing. Details on condition, age, scope of delivery, provenance and price are complete and correct. Photos show the device on offer, not press images. Defects are named, not hidden.
Transparent provenance. Only what the seller lawfully owns or is entitled to represent is offered. Stolen goods, counterfeits and devices with removed serial numbers have no place on Apollum.
Respect in dealings. Messages are polite and factual. We do not tolerate insults, belittling, harassment, threats or discrimination of any kind, neither in listings nor in messages or profiles.
Fair competition. No sham offers, no price agreements, no manipulation of reach or metrics, no deception about identity or role.
Honest authorization. Only those entitled by the brand carry the “Authorized dealer” seal. Brand names and logos are used solely to identify genuine products.
Purpose limitation. Messages serve to initiate specific purchases. Advertising, mass messaging and harvesting contact details are not permitted.
Technical fairness. Login credentials are not passed on. Automated scraping, circumventing protective measures and disrupting operations are prohibited.
Brands grant and withdraw authorizations carefully and promptly. They do not use their position to dictate prices for pre-owned goods to dealers or to pressure them in running their business.
Dealers advise on Apollum as they would in their shop. They fulfil the statutory obligations regarding warranty, withdrawal and information, mark commercial offers as such and stand behind their offer with name and address.
Private users treat sellers with the same reliability they expect themselves: enquiries are meant seriously, appointments are kept, cancellations are communicated.
Reporting. You can report violations of this Code, illegal content and suspicious offers to legal@apollum.com or via Support in your account. State the address of the content (URL), a brief reason and your name. You will receive a confirmation of receipt and be informed of our decision.
Review. We review every report and, where needed, hear the party concerned. Anyone who reports in good faith need not fear any disadvantage.
Action. Depending on severity, we respond with a notice, the removal or blocking of content, the restriction of functions or the suspension of the account. We give reasons for our decision. Those affected may object.
In case of danger. We report criminal offences and acute dangers to the competent authorities.
We develop this Code together with the platform. Changes are published here with a new date. We announce material changes to registered users in advance.
